Junction 47 A59 Knaresborough, westbound A59, A658 (Knaresborough bypass), then right A661. Pass Sainsbury's, left at lights. Two more sets of lights, over railway, Hookstone Avenue on the left.

From M1

M1 north to Junction 43, left hand fork, 11 miles to the A1 northbound, then as A1 above.

From M62 West

M62 to Junction 29, then M1 North, then as above.

From M62 East

M62 to A1 Ferrybridge, then A1 North, then as above.
